Yay for nursing. Yay for me.
Wow. I just got a letter in the mail for nursing starting May 22, and it's crrrazy! I have so much to do in order to prepare. I even got my list of classes already:
MONDAY: Health Assessment 8am-1pm
TUESDAY: Basic Nursing Intervention 7am-2pm
WEDNESDAY: Basic Nursing Intervention 7am-2pm
THURSDAY: Basic Concepts of Nursing 9am-12pm
FRIDAY: Basic Concepts of Nursing 9am-11am (it says 11pm, but I'm hoping it was just a typo!)
Wow, am I going to be busy or what? This is only NINE HOURS of classes!! Doesn't look like it! I thought this was going to be a cakewalk, but it looks like I was terribly wrong!
Anyway, I have to call right away to order my WVU SON name pin, WVU SON patches for my uniforms, and navy blue lab coat. I also have to purchase my very own two-way head stethoscope and 5 1/2" bandage scissors. I also have to go get a criminal background check done, take a CPR class again, buy a bunch of dress clothes for class, and get a TB test which I hear might be painful. AND, I have to provide all documentative proof of my immunizations....which means I might have to get a tetanus shot, too. *sad face* Those hurt! So much to worry about! I can't wear lots of jewelry, not that I do, but I'd like the option! It has to do with cross-infection. No nail polish. No footies or colored socks.
But even with all this to do and worry about, I AM STILL REALLY DANG EXCITED! AREN'T YOU ALL EXCITED TO START HEARING ABOUT ALL MY NURSING EXPERIENCES?! lol
